Unit 1: Caring for Living Things
Friday October 11th
As our first unit on "Caring for Living Thing" comes to an end, we reflect on our learning experiences by working on our Portfolio. The children have been making photo collages and selecting pieces of work that represent their learning throughout the unit to be put in their portfolio.
We created a "Caring" essential agreement as a written record of how we would like to put our knowledge of being caring individuals into action.

All Living Things Grow
We are become more knowledgable about ways that we can take care of our body. We also learn that in order to grow up strong and healthy we need to be making healthy choices. We took a short field trip to visit Ms.Honey (nurse) in the nurse's office. She helped take our weight and height and later on this year we will reflect on how we have changed and grow.

Pet Monster Project
Plan, create, and reflect. This was the process we used to in order to create our pet monsters. The children worked diligently on creating their pet monsters. We used our numeracy and literacy skills to record in our planning sheets what colored we wanted our pet monsters, and how many eyes and teeth we wanted on it. We worked collaboratively with our peers to help put the flour in the balloon, it was no easy feat but we had so much fun doing it. We all creatively named our monster and reflectively completed the reflection sheet expressing how we felt about making our pet monsters.
