We have concluded that there are so many ways to communicate are thoughts and feelings. As part of our daily morning routine we have incorporate a "News to Share" section, in which children can share stories from home or from school to their peers and teachers. They have also been presenting their family flags that they have made from the beginning of the year.

2D and 3D Shapes
As we inquired further into shapes, we have learned to identify the different between 2D and 3D shapes. We are aware that the two have different properties as well as different names. We used our knowledge of geometric shapes to create 3D constructions and make movable shape art.

Friday November 8th
As part of our unit on passionate communicators. We have been busy working on our paper mache mask. These mask were then put on display for the Magic Years community during the Creativity assembly. Prior to decorating our mask, we had to plan and brainstorm what feelings we wanted to communicate.
This multi-stepped art project help us learn and appreciate that art can take time. We went through the process of inquiry and enjoyed exploring with different mediums of art. We started from the very beginning by creating our own paper mache mask with a balloon. Then we painted it with poster paint before finishing the details with mix-media collage materials.
In the process we learned the importance of facials expression and how we use it as a tool when communicating with others. We learned that in order to determine different facial features we can look at specific part of the face, including the eyebrows, the eyes and the mouth.

Friday October 31st
We spent the week before the long break, tuning in to what we know about being a communicator. We worked together to make mind map of what ways we think we can communicate and share our feelings to our friends. We looked at a variety of ways that we can communicate weather it is through our words, dancing, facial expression, music, art, or through our writing.
